This annual event is hosted by the WAWM Recreation Department and led by Susie Melott of Yoga Is Served
This series is meant to help people connect to the healing powers of yoga so that they may lift and elevate their lives. Stretch, move and breathe your way through at a slow-pace. Connect to the Earth, to nature and the sound of your own breath. Commit to all 30 Days and I promise life as you know it will never be the same. Gentle enough to do every day, yet challenging enough to keep you engaged. Try it, you'll like it :)
In case of rain, we will meet inside the Field House. These classes are community style, meaning that it's yoga basics with modifications available to make it your own. Fridays are always restorative, as many people come for most of the 30 days. It's really an opportunity to connect to nature and find some strength and peace to start your day right. Expect variations on Sun Salutations, standing poses, lots of breath work and community.
Whether you are new to yoga or a seasoned practitioner, these classes are for you. Bring focus to breath and body as we move through gentle postures designed to open, stretch and strengthen you for the day ahead.
Yoga is an amazing way to improve your mental and physical health. It also reduces stress, improves flexibility, and gives a greater sense of body awareness.
There is no fee for these classes. Although donations will be accepted for the organization of the day, they are not necessary.
Bring a mat and water. Wear comfy clothes that you don't mind sitting on the ground in.
Here are some words from a note I received after last years event- "I spend so much time taking care of the people around me that I completely forget to take care of myself. This yoga class and experience has meant so much to me. Starting my day with your warm and loving presence has been so appreciated. The yoga has been strengthening my body, but even more so it has strengthened my inner being. It has changed my life for the better"-anonymous If you can relate, please join us💚
